What it is

A curated GitHub repository listing over 1,000 Claude Skills, resources, and tools, plus a bundled 'connect-apps' plugin that uses Composio's MCP Gateway to give Claude access to 1,000+ third-party apps.

How it differs from vanilla Claude

Vanilla Claude can already use Skills (SKILL.md files) and has built-in MCP tool access. This repo organizes skill definitions and provides a plugin for app integration, but it doesn't enable anything Claude cannot already do with proper configuration.

Skill, plugin, or workflow shift?

Integration is 'knowledge' because the primary value is the curated list of skill definitions and resources. The connect plugin is a separate entity that uses MCP, but the repo as a whole is a knowledge base.

Devil's advocate — is this just complexity?

This is fundamentally an awesome-list—a directory of links. Claude can already search the web, find skills, and generate similar instructions. The connect plugin adds a proprietary service layer (Composio) that replaces simple MCP configuration with a vendor lock-in. For an engineer, the list is a time-saver, but not a capability multiplier.

What would make it better

Make the list interactive: a searchable index, CLI tool to install skills directly, or an API to query skills. Remove the vendor tie-in for the connect plugin or open-source the MCP gateway. Alternatively, integrate the skills into a package manager (e.g., `npm install @claude-skills/pdf`).

The honest case for it

If you value curated, production-tested skill definitions and want a one-stop shop for discovering patterns, this repo is the largest collection. The connect plugin truly simplifies connecting Claude to apps if you're already using Composio.

Who it's for

Audience fit

Primarily forBoth
AI-first Engineer70

Depth and leverage for a technical engineer who wants to understand it and level up their workflow — not just offload work.

Vibe Coder50

Value for someone who wants a more capable tool without the technical depth — accessible, does-it-for-you.

AI engineers benefit from the curated skill list for discovery, but the lack of new capability limits deep leverage. Vibe coders may find the connect plugin useful, but the list itself is passive.
